This time it was the cripple in her hands, shadows left to burn on her skin
That had drenched my eyelids in visions of her black and bruised to a man that didn’t glorify her hues
Yet she was left in the silky mist of her courage
Yes courage because she had shone away all her darkness as the corners of her mouth creased light on the world…
The length of my arms were not long enough to catch her, hug her and then kiss her sorrows to sleep
If I could remove the scarlet barriers around her…I would die trying
Rip the loving beat from my soul and implant in her feet,
So she may run and run and run, till she was standing on the corner of the universe, in love with the vision of life!
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE MUST STOP!
Let’s be friends, sisters and continue to let people in…they may need us and we may need them!
May Allah bless all of us with the strength to overcome misery, struggle and more because we UNDERSTAND that h Allah is the most merciful!
Ameen!
